Royal parks are the most beautiful parks in London, Buckingham Palace,which is the official residence of the Queen looks over St. James's Park. The Crown owns this park but is open to the public free of charge. Each park in London has its own character. Hyde Park,for example,was a hunting forest in the past. Now it is popular with horse riders. People who enjoy argument can go to Speakers' Corner. Here they can listen to people giving their views on various topics. No one knows what the fist topic was here. Regent's park,which was also originally a hunting park, is now the home of London Zoo. It is also an open air theatre where one can see performances of Shakespeare's plays. Not all the parks are in the centre of London, Richmond,famous for its beautiful trees and wild deer,and Green,which are both in the suburbs.
